Ian McConnel, of Tyson Foods, will serve as president. The balance of the committee includes Justin Sherrard, of Rabobank, as secretary-treasurer, Jeannette Ferran Astorga, Zoetis, and Lucas McKelvie, McDonalds Corporation, as members at large, and immediate past-president: Bob McCan, McFaddin Enterprises.

The GRSB, established in 2012, has been working to advance sustainable beef through leadership, science, and multi-stakeholder engagement. It announced its global sustainability goals in June 2021, including a goal of reducing beef’s impact on net global warming by 30 per cent by the year 2030, ensuring the beef value chain is a net positive contributor to nature by the same year.
