If grain moving is on the task list, there have been some updates to GSI’s VersaLoop Conveyor line-up, showcased at Farm Progress Show recently at Decatur, Illinois.

“The first that you see right here behind me, is the drive-over hopper,” says Greg Trame, director of global product development for GSI. “This allows us to turn a VersaLoop into a receiving pit conveyor, to collect that grain directly from you truck.”

When coupled with the an optional bend section (also shown in the video below) the updated product makes a versatile conveyor for receiving applications on-farm.

The updated conveyor auger has capacity up to 10,000 bushels per hour allowing farmers to get commodities unloaded quickly so that the truck can get back to the field in a timely manner, says Trame.

“It’s also very shallow, so for certain areas where they have groundwater problems, they don’t have to dig a really deep pit and fight with that, so it’s a really nice product in the market for receiving,” says Trame.

The design of the VersaLoop allows for easy swapping, building as a new configuration or as an add-on for grain handling.

There are three different sizes, eight, 10, and 12 inch, that can move 4,000, 6,000, and 10,000 bushels per hour, respectively. The same injection-molded plastic paddles that are used throughout the grain industry in chain conveyors are used inside the updated VersaLoop.
