Raven Industries has announced it is moving its autonomous farming products under one umbrella brand, which means the well-known DOT power platform originally developed in Saskatchewan has a new name.
Raven launched OMNi as the new brand for its autonomous agriculture business earlier this week.
As a result, the DOT platform is now going to be known as OMNiPOWER.
The AutoCart aftermarket driverless grain cart tractor system that Raven acquired from Smart Ag in 2019 has also been renamed as OMNiDRIVE.
“We are excited about the opportunities rolling out under the OMNi prefix as it ties our entire portfolio together and helps to provide the entire solution from top to bottom for the farmer,” says Dominic Walkes, director of strategic initiatives at Raven.
Raven fully acquired DOT Technology Corp. from Seedmaster, Seedmaster president and DOT founder Norbert Beaujot, and the Beaujot family in 2020 after taking a majority stake in the company in 2018.
Beaujot originally named the autonomous platform, which debuted at the Ag in Motion farm show in 2017, after his mother Dorothy.
