You likely won’t see a Mercedes-Benz booth at just any ag tradeshow, but the company was on hand at Agritechnica in Hanover, Germany, to showcase their Unimog as a “flexible all-rounder and a real alternative to the tractor in agriculture.”
In this interview, Mercedes’ Klaus Gauly walks us through the Unimog U lineup, which includes a 200, 300, 400, and 500 Series.
With a maximum speed up to 90 km/h, the trucks offer a lot in terms of transport potential. But they can also be equipped with a front- or rear-PTO, to run a diverse range of attachments from mowers, to fertilizer spreaders, to snow blowers.
RealAgriculture’s coverage of Agritechnica 2019 is made possible by Brevant seeds. The latest technology, locally tested. Brevant seeds. Seed. Yield. Easy.
The trucks are customizable depending on an operator’s needs, and the company has made it possible to shift from left-hand steering to right-hand steering in under a minute.
