Amazone’s ZG-TS 01 adds consistency to fertilizer spreaders

Amazone’s new fertilizer spreader offers high output, precise spread patterns, and consistent application.

The ZG-TS 01 trailer spreader comes in hopper capacities of 7,500 litres and 10,000 litres, with operational speeds up to 30km/h, working widths up to 54 metres, and up to 128 part-width sections.

“With urea we can go from 80 to 120 feet quite easily,” says Amazone’s Jeremy Messerli, in an interview from Agritechnica. “We have some very interesting technology that can allow us to have a constant spread pattern, and to really have the best distribution over the whole width.”

RealAgriculture’s coverage of Agritechnica 2019 is made possible by Brevant seeds. The latest technology, locally tested. Brevant seeds. Seed. Yield. Easy.

The system’s ArgusTwin monitors allow for even lateral distribution with changeable fertilizer or adverse weather conditions.

“The Argus system is actually seven sensors on each spinner that are looking at the projection of the fertilizer, depending the quality, depending also the angle the spreader…and also the humidity of the fertilizer,” says Messerli. “It’s going to re-align the spread pattern to ensure you always have the same throwing angle, to ensure consistent effect across the whole width.”

In addition, the trailer uses AutoTS border spreading, GPS-switch automatic part-width control, an on-line ProfisPro weighing system for continuous monitoring of application rate, and true track-following via axle steering. It can also be equipped with a wind control unit.

“It’s very, very precise, and it’s the edge of technology there for fertilizer spreaders.”
